Terms and conditions

We know, it’s not exciting, but these are our terms and conditions required when working with us:

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

If you are a new customer, we will require the payment to be made before the job takes place, or when the driver arrives at the pickup destination. We accept credit/debit cards or cash on pick up. We do not accept cheques. Bank transfers can be made, but it will need to be discussed at the time of quoting.

If you have an account with Redline Towing, we will invoice you weekly. Payment must be received on/before the due date stated on your invoice. By default, all invoices are due 7 days from date of invoice, unless an account has been created.

If not, the debt will be passed on to a collection agency.

TRANSPORTABLE BUILDINGS & SHIPPING CONTAINERS:
All prices/quotes provided are curb to curb.
Transport from curb to curb covers travel on public roadways. Once we cross a nature strip/road verge to the pickup address or delivery address, the allowed time to load/unload begins. To ensure additional charges do not occur, please ensure that the path to the pickup item, and where it needs to be delivered to, is free of obstacles (fences, gates, trees etc.) The ground also needs to be solid, relatively flat and free of anything that could damage our vehicles, (eg rebar sticking out of the ground, or hidden utility pits, or anything that could pose as an OHS issue) to ensure our vehicles can travel straight through. While we do everything we can to place your unit where you want it, sometimes it is just not possible, and this may be due to lack of access on site, trees, soft/muddy ground or other obstacles. If we are unable to place the unit exactly where you want it, we will place it as close as we practical. Our tilt trays require 15 meters of clear space ahead of them to load/unload and our supertilt requires 35 meters of clear space ahead of it to load/unload.

Redline Towing approaches all movements with all care no responsibility. Our operators will do everything they can to ensure that your load reaches point A to point B without an issue; however, we accept no responsibility for any damages unless it is due to driver negligence. We are fully insured and our operators are second to none, so rest assured that if something does happen, it is covered.

We do not prepare buildings/containers for transport, so please ensure that all buildings/containers are prepared correctly for transport. As a minimum, we require all openings to be sealed. All windows need to be taped up, all items should be removed from shelves/cupboards. Anything not fixed to the structure must be adequately secured. We do not enter the buildings, we check that windows are taped, doors are locked and ensure there is nothing that will fall off or blow open/out during transport.
The building/container must be safe to travel in all weather conditions and capable of withstanding highway travel speed and all road conditions without disintegrating.

From July 1st 2019 there has been a slight increase in costs for container transport. Please call the office for further details.

TRANSPORT REQUIREMENTS:
All prices/quotes provided are curb to curb.

Equipment must be easily accessible, packed up and ready for transport, eg excavators buckets must be stacked inside the largest bucket. All equipment must be ready for the driver to load it straight onto the vehicle and restrain it. Equipment must be cleaned ensuring they are safe for transport. Mud, rocks, debris must be removed.

Any damages that occur to our vehicles when on your site(s)/customer sites will be on added to the cost of the job. To avoid any charges, please ensure the path to/from where the entrance to site is and where the equipment is to be placed/loaded is free of obstacles and anything that could cause damage to the vehicle, or could pose as an OHS issue – eg rebar sticking out of the ground, hidden utility pits, etc.

If you can’t/wouldn’t drive your car through the site due to potential damages, we won’t drive the trucks through there.

SAFETY

At Redline Towing, safety is our first and foremost priority.
We will follow all work site rules and regulations providing they do not contradict the rules and regulations set out by government bodies, such as the NHVR, however, if our operators feel as though something is wrong, work will stop so the situation can be reassessed.
We have developed our own JSEA and SWMS to ensure that safety is second to none.
If work is to be carried out in an uncontrolled environment, eg the side of a road or in a public place; and our operators do not believe that it is safe to load/unload, we will try to make alternative arrangements. This may mean loading/unloading the equipment as close as practical to the job site.
We will not do anything that is unsafe. If a safe alternative cannot be arranged, eg an alternative load/unload location or traffic management provided, the job will be deemed unsafe and charges as a service call.
If this decision is made and we are attempting a delivery, the equipment will returned to the pickup location, or to another location organised between Redline Towing and the customer.
This will result in a second charge.

CHAIN OF RESPONSIBILITY

The new changes to the Chain Of Responsibility (also known as COR) affects everyone involved in a transport movement
You can read more about it in the link below, there is also a short video explaining COR:

THIRD PARTY SERVICES
Redline Towing will never subcontract your work out to anyone else. If you book transport with us, we will move it.
However, there are times when a third party is required, such as pilots and cranes/frannas.
In these instances, we have regular companies that we use these services for. It is highly preferable that if a third party is involved, we organise it, simply due to the history we have with them, we are able to work much more efficiently.
Pricing for third parties may vary from company to company and we do not control that.
Pricing for third parties will be added to your invoice.
We do not deal with third parties for payment.
